LEARN HOW TRAVEL INSPIRES DESIGNER STEVEN LAGOS
Each season, designer and founder Steven Lagos finds new inspiration for his designs.
“Travel is a constant source of inspiration. When I’m on a plane is one of the only times I disconnect, it’s a meditation time for me.”
This theme was evident this season in two of our newest pendants; the Signature Caviar plane pendant and our Signature Caviar compass.
“The compass was fun to design. I liked the idea of having something that was functional. I think it leads to the idea of travel and adventure.”
In addition to these designs, our newest gemstone styles evoked a sense of escape as well. In our Maya collection, we added a new gem to our assortment: Chrysocolla.
“I’m always searching for gemstones that take people to a different place. Chrysocolla is one of those gems. It’s a beautiful turquoise blue stone that creates almost a water effect. It looks like islands floating in the water, like a scene from an airplane window.”
