We’re taking a tour of our hometown all month long as a part of our LAGOS 100k celebration! We’re sending one of our lucky fans on a weekend getaway to the City of Brotherly Love with a friend for a $1,000 shopping extravaganza in our flagship store located in Rittenhouse Square. After all that shopping, we have a feeling you’ll have a healthy appetite for scrumptious meals and decadent cocktails, not to mention an excuse to don your new fine jewelry out on the town. Here are a few of our favorite foodie destinations.
1) A. Kitchen at Rittenhouse Square
Conveniently located by our flagship store is A. Kitchen, a modern, sleek restaurant, which is so much more than just “a kitchen.” Restauranteur David Field opened a.kitchen in the AKA Rittenhouse in 2011 and it has become a standalone local favorite ever since. With an impressive wine list, racking up to about 275 bottles, relaxed ambiance and high quality food, we can be found here for brunch, lunch and dinner.
2) R2L
If you’re looking for the best view of Philadelphia, all you have to do is make a reservation at R2L. Perched atop the 37th Floor at 2 Liberty Place, there is not a bad seat in the main dining room. Floor-to-ceiling windows highlight bustling city streets for a bird’s-eye of Philly at night. Not to mention the sophisticated menu of creative American cuisine by Chef Daniel Stern, this is one spectacular culinary experience.
3) Talula’s Garden
The brainchild of Aimee Olexy and Executive Chef Sean McPaul, Talula’s Garden serves a carefully sourced farm-to-table menu showcasing premier rustic ingredients. This is a haven for cheese-mongers with seven cheese flights to choose from including one aptly name Little Stinkers.
4) The Dandelion
You’ll feel like you’ve stepped across the pond and into the heart of London with a visit to The Dandelion, an Anglophile-inspired gastropub in Rittenhouse Square. Prop up in front of a wood burning fireplace with a frothy pint and “better than Britain’s” fish and chips for a comforting meal.
5) Vedge
One of the country’s premiere vegan restaurants resides at 1221 Locust Street. Chef Rich Landau gives sirloins and prime cuts a run for their money with richly seasoned, roasted vegetable creations you’ll ask for the recipe to recreate them at home.
