As we enter a new year filled with new possibilities and new activities, there’s one element of our plan that remains the same: our commitment to our philanthropic partner Keep Memory Alive (KMA). For the past 25 years, LAGOS has supported KMA and its efforts to research and care for those suffering from brain disorders including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease.

However, our commitment goes beyond a commemorative day or month. The Keep Memory Alive collection is a constant, just like any of our classic Caviar collections. Year-round, we offer a full selection of earrings, bracelets, necklaces and rings, featuring our iconic Caviar beading with architectural inspiration from the Frank Gehry-designed headquarters of KMA. 100 percent of your purchase from this collection goes directly to the cause.

During 2020 – an unprecedented time – we are proud that we were able to raise $150,000 throughout the year, to help our friends at Keep Memory Alive continue their important work. These funds came directly from your purchases of our Keep Memory Alive collection in addition to the exclusive pendant Steven Lagos designed for the organization’s annual Power of Love gala and auction.

Steven became intimately involved with the foundation through his friendship with founder Larry Ruvo and his personal connection to the cause. Steven’s grandparents suffered from Alzheimer’s and he watched as the disease took a toll on the patients as well as their families and caregivers. He realized just how difficult the experience is for everyone involved and has been committed to Keep Memory Alive ever since. As Steven says, “We create jewelry, but at our core we’re in the business of creating memories. Jewelry is deeply personal, and this emotional connection literally helps keep memories alive.”
