With Valentine’s Day fast approaching we’re feeling the love from our favorite cities across the states. This week, we’re culminating our Valentine’s Day guide with a visit to Texas. Inspired by the iconic design of the LAGOS Heart of Texas, these are the places across the lone star state we’ll be visiting with our other half.
1) Bring your budding romance on a stroll down the San Antonio River Walk. Every Valentine’s Day San Antonio is transformed into the City of Yellow Roses and couples enjoy a plethora of outdoor activities to celebrate their romance.
2) For the committed couple an evening full of enchantment is to be had atop the Reunion Tower. The 561 foot observation tower offers sweeping views of Dallas and is one of the most remarkable landmarks in the city. Head to Cloud Nine for cocktails or Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant Five Sixty for a meal unlike any other.
3) Take it to the next level with a day long excursion out to Houston’s San Jacinto Museum of History. The museum has an archive of over 17,000 objects from ancient mayan and Aztec artifacts to memorabilia from early American soldiers. Don’t forget to visit the observation desk of the San Jacinto Monument, the tallest war memorial in the U.S., which offers unobstructed views of Houston from 500-feet above the city.
4) Start a new tradition with a pair of customized boots from CABoots. The Champion Family Brand has been hand crafting authentic cowboy boots for over four generations and offers customers the opportunity to design their own.
